On the 19th of June the Year 10’s went down to Federation Uni in Churchill to see what it is like to be in a lecture, to see what the campus is like and the facilities that they provide.
We did a range of activities. The first one we did was listen to one of the lecturers talk about science. He was a microbiologist and he talked about the projects he has been involved with. The second activity was the amazing race around the campus where we had an online app with questions and we had to run around the campus to find the answers. Another activity was another talk about study skills, success and strategies to succeed in school. We also listened to another lecture about sports marketing and the ways that sport contributes to tourism. The last activity was a Q & A with a few of the university students, where we could ask questions about their courses, what it is like to study at uni and what it is like to live on campus.
